Background To Our School

Newbold and Tredington School is a Church of England Voluntary Controlled School We are a small rural school on two sites within the villages. Class 1 (Reception) and Class 2 (Years 1 / 2) are based on the Newbold site and Class 3 (Years 3 / 4) and Class 4 (Years 5 /6) are at Tredington.

Newbold site includes a listed building which has been a school for over 150 years.  There is a playground in front of the school and we also have access to Newbold Village Hall for PE and other activities.  The Newbold site has recently been refurbished, keeping the traditional look of the school outside whilst being modern and exciting inside.

Tredington site was opened in 1962 and is situated in a quiet rural environment with surrounding school field and playground. Extensive work was carried out in 2005 to improve our provision, including purpose built classes and an extensive library.

The School is small enough for children to be known as individuals and for education to match particular needs.  We get together as a whole school on a weekly basis, as well as having regular ‘Link Days’ where the children can meet together and work collaboratively on a range of activities.

The school office is at Tredington.
