Visits are seen as a valuable way to enrich the curriculum and provide an opportunity for children to practice their social skills.  Some are within walking distance, some require a short coach journey and others, such as the year 5/6 trip to Bude, involve 5 days away. For all our activities out of school we work within the Local Authority’s Health and Safety guidelines and are vigilant in making sure we carry out appropriate Risk Assessments 

CHARGING FOR SCHOOL VISIT 

We place a great deal of importance on the benefits to be gained from taking children on visits out of school.  We inform parents of any visits planned and we do our utmost to minimize costs but we cannot always finance these activities within our school budget and therefore will ask for a contribution towards the cost of a trip. If, at any time, the cost of a visit is too much please speak to Mr Upton because we should be able to help in some way.
