Welcome Letter

Newbold & Tredington C of E Primary School is a Church of England Voluntary Controlled school. We accept families from any faith and foster an inclusive ethos based on Christian values, which we believe are values for life.

The school is situated in two villages; Reception and Year One children are currently based at Newbold with Year Two to Year Six children based at Tredington. There are four classes: a mixed Reception/Year One class, a mixed Year Two/Year Three class, a mixed Year Four/Year Five class and a Year Six class.

Both sites are in rural settings, tucked away in the Warwickshire countryside. Newbold (a refurbished Victorian listed building) has a front playground that has play equipment for the children and a superb outdoor classroom at the back of the building. It also has full use of the village hall and the children visit Tredington weekly to use the facilities there.

Tredington is more modern and boasts both a fiction and non-fiction library which the children use on a weekly basis. It also has a field and larger playground where the children can play during their breaktimes and lunchtimes. There is also a fantastic outdoor learning area as well as an environmental area including a bird-hide and pond. Tredington has a hall which is used for activities such as assemblies, lunchtimes and PE.

Being such a small school means that every child is known as an individual and ensures that the education provided by the school can match their learning needs. We follow the National Curriculum and our dedicated team of teachers plan lessons to make sure that children make progress. We are firm believers that learning should be fun and that all children have the best opportunities to succeed at school and beyond.

As the community we serve is small, there is a real sense of family and a strong commitment from parents, governors, church and everybody associated with the school. We work together to make sure that the children in our school are safe, are provided with a high quality education and most importantly, have fun!

Visits to the school are highly recommended.

Best wishes,

Newbold and Tredington School.
