Life has been busy in Sapphire Class so far this term! We learnt all about life in Antarctica and found out that the temperatures were so cold, we felt grateful to live in England!
Explore learning came in to do a maths workshop with us, which was great fun! We had to work together to solve problems and check that our answers were correct.
Our parents came in to work with us for a maths IMPaCT workshop which we really enjoyed. We are working on learning all the different vocabulary in maths. We then used all the maths skills that we had learnt to help us with a forces experiment. We had to measure how far the cars travelled on different surfaces.
The first half term ended with us leading the family assembly. We talked, acted and sang about everything we had learnt during the half term, including wisdom, antarctica, tongue twisters and riddles.
Our new topic is Victorian life and started with a wow day. We went back to school as Victorians. It was hard work for the day and Mrs Child was very strict!
