Summer Term
Patterns in nature
We have been so lucky to have lots of fantastic weather during the summer term so have enjoyed spending time outside to study our patterns in nature topic this term. We have also spent time outside for sports day, environmental day and to eat and drink our fruit kebabs and fruit smoothies! Some tasted better than others!
In science, we have enjoyed making observations and comparisons of plants, going pond dipping and studying minibeasts.
As part of maths, we learnt all about capacity and compared how many millilitres and litres were in different drinking cartons, cans and bottles. We were surprised by some of the results!
We took part in my money week which generated some fantastic discussions about bank accounts, savings and earning money. Mrs Child opened a shop, where we had to buy the resources we needed to make our own money box.
The end of the term saw us take part in our first school production ‘Wind in the Willows’ here at Tredington. We all loved singing, acting and wearing our costumes! We are already looking forward to next years summer concert!
