Wolf Run Sept 2014
The Newbold and Tredington Primary School PTFA raised the fundraising challenge to a new level last weekend. On Sunday morning 15 parents gathered to take part in the Wolf Run, a 10km off-road event for the fit and willing. After a warm up led by army wannabes, the 'pack' set off. Ahead they overcame a series of obstacles: crawling under cargo nets through mud swamps, swimming through lakes, climbing wooden towers and flying down a fantastic water slide. With the background of several months of team training, our parents arrived at the finish line as muddy as everyone else and as equally as exhausted. As parents of primary school children they were met by their excited offspring running alongside the track and demanding acrobatic mud plunges. We are immensely proud of the commitment shown by this team. What a great example for the children of our school to see their parents and teachers (including the Headmistress) taking part and having fun. Now we can invest the money raised in our school and plan next year’s challenge.
The team before the challenge!
